“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Cor. 3:18.

A man of God told a story about his wife that is apt to describe the life of some so-called Christians. One year at Christmastime, my wife wanted some wrapped boxes to use for decoration.  She took eight empty boxes and had them wrapped to use as a decoration at our front door.  Those boxes sat in front of our house, impeccably wrapped, topped with bows, but empty. The boxes looked quite presentable and beautiful but I didn’t worry about a thief coming and stealing any of the wrapped boxes in front of our house- there wasn’t anything in them.” He didn't worry about them being stolen because they were empty.

A lot of folks are well-wrapped, but there’s nothing going on inside.  Unfortunately, today many people don’t know what it means to be truly blessed.  They just want to be well wrapped, good looking and presentable without anything going on inside. True, authentic Christian living starts on the inside and the evidence of that life works its way out. We have been called not to be mere empty boxes wrapped and displayed for men to see, we have been called to be a bright and shining example of what light should be in a dark world. We have been called to be a honest depiction of God's glory to a dying world. We can't achieve this, if we are carried away with the ephemeral.

As believers we say that we exist for God's glory.  We talk about doing everything for the glory of God.  We sing songs about God's glory.  We pray that God would be glorified in our lives, our home, our church. But atimes this whole thing ends with mere singing and talking about it. The more we allow the Lord to have His way in our lives, the more we reflect His glory in the here and now.  I don't know about you, but meditating on God's glory fuels my desire to radiate that glory in the here and now.  I tell you the truths that is God's desire that we all become true description of His glory, get up and be all you have been catto be.
